‘Parkgate’ is not just about new retail development. It is a truly mixed-use scheme.
In order to breathe new life into Shirley Town Centre there will now be a series of townhouses and apartments in various ‘blocks’, many of which will overlook Shirley Park itself.
This element of the development will be called ‘Parkside’.
‘Parkside’ will offer:
- 27 x 3 Bedroom Townhouses
- 56 x 1 and 2 Bedroom Apartments
- A total of 33 residential units (40%) will be allocated as ‘Affordable Housing’ which might include some provision for ‘Key Workers’ from the local area
- 55 x Retirement Living Apartments in a self-contained ‘block’ on Haslucks Green Road
- Dedicated car parking for residents in private courtyards
