Shirley Advance is a joint venture between Helical Bar PLC and Coltham Developments Limited, which is run on a day to day basis by Robert Birch and Jonathan Cox from their office in Solihull. Shirley Advance was specifically set up to pursue this scheme and was selected by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council given the combined technical and financial strengths of the respective companies, their track record, their understanding of the project and their commitment to undertake a full and proper Community Consultation.
Shirley Advance has appointed a first class professional team to work on this project. This team is made up of Architects, Landscape Architects, Structural and Civil Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Planning Consultants, Lawyers and Chartered Surveyors – all of which are based in the Midlands area.
The construction of Parkgate will be undertaken by a Midlands based commercial contractor. First Stage Tenders have been completed and a decision will be made towards the end of 2007 as to which contractor to select. Further details will be provided at the appropriate stage in due course.
